Bordeaux defender Lamine Sane has been tipped as the new captain of Senegal following the appointment of new coach Aliou Cisse.
Media reports in Senegal hint that Sane will replace Mohamed Diame as new skipper of the Teranga Lions.
The 27-year-old Sane is favourably tipped as he is a regular at his French Ligue 1 club, where he has also been named captain.
The left fullback, central defender or defensive midfielder was first capped in a match against Gabon in November 2010 and has since become a fixture in the defence of Senegal.
He has now won 28 caps for his country.
