Confed Cup: Nigerian striker vows to wreck Wolves

Nigerian forward Samuel Abiodun Saanumi has told AfricanFootball.com he will score the goals Dedebit FC of Ethiopia will beat Warri Wolves in a CAF Confederation Cup first leg, first round match in Warri on Saturday.


 The former St.George striker is one of the players who stormed Warri Thursday morning ahead of the tie and he is confident they will beat host Warri Wolves.


 “I am happy to be here in Nigeria to do my job. I am ready as a player and we are ready as a team to beat Warri Wolves and progress to the next stage of the competition,” said Saanumi.


 “My mission here in Warri is to score goals as a striker and see my team return home with victory.”


 The striker, who also plays from the wings, scored a goal and provided two assists as Dedebit beat Cote d’Or of Seychelles 3-2 in the away game and progressed 5-2 on aggregate.


Wolves beat Racing Club Bobo Diolassou 4-0 aggregate.


The former ECCPCO and St.George striker has scored eight goals in the league in Ethiopia so far.
