Enyimba will hope to advance to the second round of the CAF Champions League with another win over Smouha in Egypt on Sunday.

The overall winners of this tie will battle the eventual winners between Gor Mahia of Kenya and AC Leopards of Congo-Brazzaville for a place in the money-spinning group phase of the competition.

Two-time champions Enyimba pipped Egyptian club Smouha 1-0 at home a fortnight ago and they hope they do the double over the same side this weekend.

A second-half strike by Cameroonian striker Raphael Boumsong was the difference between the two clubs in Aba.

Enyimba captain Chinedu Udoji told AfricanFootball.com that everything is in place for them to go to Egypt and secure a favourable result against Smouha.

"Everything is in place for us to have a smooth journey to Egypt for our game against Smouha,” said tough-tackling Udoji.

"We have been preparing hard for the game and our mindset is to go get victory in Egypt and progress to the next stage of the competition.

“The spirit in camp is high and we are all eager to go there and make Nigerians proud. We just need their support and prayers as we are ready to do our job on the pitch."

Udoji admitted it will be a tough test for his team in Alexandria.

"We know it would be a very difficult game but we are ready for the challenge," he said.

"We are not going to Egypt to defend, we are going all out to attack. Approaching the game like the first leg ended in a draw.

"It would not be a good commentary that Enyimba leaves this competition at this stage of the tournament. So we are going to approach this game like a cup final.

"The Egyptians came to Aba with a defensive tactics but I know from experience that they would open up on Sunday and we will not defend."
