Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that burly centre back Morgan Gould has been ruled out of action for the rest of the season.
Gould tore his Achilles tendon and had to be substituted in Chiefs' 2-0 defeat to Raja Casablanca in Morocco on Sunday.
The 32-year-old will be operated on today after doctors confirmed the injury in hospital, and he will subsequently face several months on the sidelines.
The former SuperSport United man underwent surgery to his Achilles tendon on his other leg in August 2012.
In some positive news for the Amakhosi, Tsepo Masilela and Siphiwe Tshabalala have received the all clear and traveled with their Chiefs teammates to Polokwane where they will meet AmaZulu in a league outing on Thursday evening.
