Hearts of Oak have a strong squad to earn a favourable result against Djoliba in the Confederation Cup first leg Last 16 qualifier on Friday in Bamako.

Head coach Herbert Addo has welcomed back midfielder Kofi Abanga who replaces groin-hit Leonard Tawiah.

Lanky centre-back Vincent Atingah takes the place of Issah Mumuni in the 18-man squad.

The Phobians go into the match after beating Wa All Stars 1-0 at home in the Ghana Premier League.

Djoliba eliminated Egyptian side Petrojet 2-1 on aggregate to setup the meeting with Hearts.

The Malian side have been eliminated in both their two previous meetings with Hearts in CAF Club competitions.

Hearts beat Djoliba 1-0 in Accra after drawing 1-1 in Mali in the 1980 Africa Club Champions Cup.

Again, the Phobians met Djoliba in the 1998 CAF Champions League first qualifying round stage when they drew 0-0 in Bamako and won 1-0 in Accra.
