Hearts of Oak need a draw to reach the play-off stage of the CAF Confederation Cup against Djoliba in Accra on Sunday.
The 2004 winners edged a 2-1 win in Bamako two weeks ago to put them in the driving seat of the tie.
But the Phobians might struggle to achieve that simple task with four key players ruled out of the tie to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Captain Robin Gnagne, who was sent off in the first leg after receiving two yellow cards, will be serving a one-match ban.
Likewise left-back Isaac Oduro who has accumulated two yellow cards in the qualifiers and is suspended for the return leg.
Goalkeeper Muntawakilu Siedu and right-back Joseph Owusu Bempah are with the Ghana U20 team in New Zealand preparing for this month’s FIFA World Cup to be played in the Oceania country.
Head coach Herbert Addo laments the position he finds himself but remains optimistic suitable replacements will be found.
“It is true that Robin Gnagne will be missing this match but there are three others who will be missing,” he said.
“Isaac Oduro, Owusu Bempah and Muntawakilu Seidu will all be missing so we have four vacancies to fill.
“Isaac Oduro has two yellow cards and Bempah and Mutawakilu are on national team assignment.
“But I am confident we can find suitable replacements for them. People always say that coach Addo doesn’t have a starting eleven but this is one of the reasons why.
“Four players are missing and we must replace them.”
Hearts warmed up for this match with a 1-1 draw at Ghana Premier League leaders AshantiGold on Wednesday to end the first round of the Ghana Premier League.
