ASEC Mimosas will be hosts to Onze Créateurs in Abidjan on Sunday, in the return leg of their Confederation Cup last 16 encounter.

The Ivoirians will be confident of claiming a place in the play-offs of the continental competition, after sealing a crucial away win in Bamako in the first leg thanks to a last-minute winner from U-20 international winger Ba Loua D’Avila.

And to achieve their objective, ASEC coach Alain Gouaméné will be hoping his side can maintain an impressive run of form that has seen the ‘Yellow and Black’ win their last five matches through all competitions while only conceding a single goal along the way.

“We showed that we can play football, and that’s the most important,” Gouaméné commented after the first leg.

“The away goal helps the morale of the team, but we will still have to play in the return leg as they are not a bad side.

“They might lack experience, but they are a very good team.

“They have what it takes to cause us problems at home, so there are no calculations to be made. We must play our football and remain focused in Abidjan to finish the job.”

The match will kick off at Stade Robert Champroux at 17h30 CAT on Sunday
