Stoke City's Senegal international striker Mame Biram Diouf believes he has done well in his first season at the Premier League club.
Diouf scored in Stoke's impressive 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend and he tells the club’s official website that he will look back on his first season at Stoke with pride.
Diouf, who has now got 11 goals this season, said: “For my first season I think it has gone well and I am pleased that I have been able to reach double figures.
"I want to score more over the final games. I want to keep trying to get involved in the games, make an impact and hopefully I can continue to do that. It is certainly what I am hoping to do.”
Diouf's manager Mark Hughes has used the big forward out on the flank for most of this season where his speed has become a weapon for Stoke.
"I am a striker, it is where I have played for nearly my entire playing career,” Diouf said.
“Looking forward it is the position I want to be back playing in regularly. [However] when the manager thinks it is better to help the team in other positions, then I am happy to do that, and I will always do my best.”
