If there is a time when one would not want to be a football leader it is now. This week the spotlight will be on Botswana Premier League, Chief Executive Officer, Bennett Mamelodi.

There are a number of factors that will give the man headaches by hook or by crook.

Firstly, he has to make a determination on whether Mochudi Centre Chiefs is awarded the trophy and medals. This is despite the Letlapeng Sporting club appeal at the National Appeals Board. The question that Mamelodi has to answer alone is what if the outcome of the case doesn’t favour Chiefs?

Secondly, a judgement on the Extension Gunners against BR Highlanders case has to be delivered. Gunners are in the top 8 and should they lose the case and results don’t favour them on weekend they may tumble out of the top 8.

Once more Mamelodi has to make a determination on when the judgement will be delivered. Should Highlanders win the protest and go on to win the last game of the season they may sneak into the top 8.

Lastly, he has to pray that the Sankoyo Bushbucks and Satmos judgement be delivered on time.

Should Satmos lose against Notwane he will be off the hook. If the opposite happens he will have to wait for quite some time to make a determination of who relegates. This is why the spotlight is on Mamelodi and for him it is to take it one day at a time.
