Ghanaian midfielder Seidu Salifu is confident Club Africain can come away with a win against Al Ahly in their CAF Confederation Cup clash on Cairo this weekend.
The Tunisian giants will be leaving their base for the Egyptian capital on Wednesday ahead of the game having almost secured the domestic championship.
The Tunis-based side are close to securing their first Ligue 1 title in 10 years after securing an epic win over rivals Esperance on Tuesday.
The side is high on confidence and Salifu says this new found impetus will help them secure a famous win at Al Ahly.
“We are hoping to win,” the defensive midfielder said.
“So far we are in good shape and our confidence level is very high and am sure it will help us get the win this weekend.”
The winner between the tie between Club Africain and Al Ahly will progress to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
