Nigeria international Solomon Kwambe, who returned to action after several weeks on the sidelines with injury, is set to make his CAF Confederation Cup debut for Warri Wolves against AC Leopard on Sunday.

The overall winners of this playoff match will advance to the money-spinning group stage of the continental competition.

The former Plateau United defender told AfricanFootball.com he is excited to be on the flight to Congo.

It will also be the first time the right back will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup having only played in CAF Champions League for Sunshine Stars in 2012 when they reached the semifinal.

"I am so excited to be back with my team, this will be my first continental game for them. I am even more excited because playing on the continent was the main reason why I joined the team. I am looking forward to have a great outing and victory for the team,” he told AfricanFootball.com

"I know that a lot is been expected from us, but we will go to the pitch and do what we know how to do best and leave the rest to God.

"This is my first time of playing in CAF Confederation Cup, I only played CAF Champions League with Sunshine Stars. I target success in the competition."
