SC Vipers' players celebrate a goal

Sports Club Vipers could be crowned 2014/201 Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) champions if they stop SC Villa on Friday at the Nakivubo Stadium.
Coach Edward Golola’s team lead the table on 63 points and victory over the hosts SC Villa ho have 62 points will see them win the title and qualify to represent Uganda in the 2016 CAF Champions League.
“This is a big game and we must approach it in a big way. We are a ware a draw would favour us going into the last game next week. But we want to try and complete the job today,” said Golola.
Former TP Mazembe midfielder Mike Mutyaba who has been in good form is expected to lead the SC Vipers team together with Farouk Miya and Saddam Juma.
SC Villa who have won the Uganda League title a record 16 times have also vowed to utilize home advantage to win the game. “We expect our fans to push us to win this game because it’s like a Cup final,” said Ibrahim Kirya, the SC Villa Coach.
In-case SC Villa fail to win the League title they still have a chance to represent Uganda in the 2016 CAF Confederations Cup if they beat KCCA FC in the Uganda Cup final early next month.
KCCA FC will also play away to Soana FC, while URA FC host Police in the other League games on card on Friday. Entebbe FC and Rwenshama FC who are already relegated to the lower Division will also be in action against Kira Young and Lweza FC respectively.
Army side Simba SC will host Sadolin Paints FC, while Bidco FC battle Express FC and SC Victoria University host Bright Stars at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
