Sports Club Vipers will officially be crowned 2014/2015 Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) Champions on Tuesday after their last game against Bidco FC at the Buikwe Stadium.

After defeating second placed SC Villa 2-0 last Friday, Coach Edward Golola’s team clinched the title and will represent Uganda in the 2016 CAF Champions League. “We need to complete the season on a high with a good result,” a happy Golola told on Tuesday.

SC Vipers lead the log with 66 points, while SC Villa who face Bright Stars FC are second on 62 points. SC Villa still have the chance to represent Uganda in the CAF Confederations Cup if they manage to stop KCCA FC in the Uganda Cup final early next month.

The other games on card will see former Champions KCCA FC face Lweza FC, while Express FC battle URA FC at the Wankulukuku Stadium. “It’s unfortunate that we shall miss out on continental football next year, but we need to go back to the drawing board and work harder next season,” said URA FC Coach Alex Isabirye.

Entebbe FC and Rwenshama FC who have already been relegated will face off in a game that will have no meaning, while Kira Young who are on the verge o dropping to the lower Division will play army side Simba SC. Coach Morley Byekwaso’s SC Victoria University will also face Sadolin Paints FC, while sixth placed Police FC host Soana FC
