Ejike Uzoenyi has told AfricanFootball.com former club Enugu Rangers did not receive a dime from Mamelodi Sundowns when he transferred to South Africa because he left as a free agent.

He also said the club was not paid when he went on a six-month loan deal to French club Rennes.

“When I moved to Mamelodi Sundowns, I went there as a free player, nobody or Rangers got a dime ‎from the deal,” countered Uzoenyi.

“These allegations are false, they have been public, so I need to counter them.”

Controversial football official Ray Nnaji alleged on Dream FM in Enugu Tuesday that Rangers received 22 million Naira when he went on loan to France and were also paid when he transferred to Sundowns.

Allegations were also that Rangers got 15 million Naira from FIFA for Uzoenyi’s participation at last year’s World Cup.
