Former Ugandan international David Obua

Ex-Uganda Cranes winger David Obua was involved in an accident on Tuesday evening as he traveled together with KCCA FC team to Ntungamo District.
“I am lucky to survive this accident because the impact was huge,” the former Kaizer Chiefs player told AfricanFootball.com on phone.
Obua who has been training with the former Uganda Super League Champions to keep fit traveled with the team ahead of their June 6th Uganda Cup final against arch-rivals SC Villa in Ntungamo.
Obua explained that as they traveled in a double cabin pickup a lorry suddenly blocked them in Lyantonde and they knocked it. Cranes and KCCA defender Savio Kabugo and the driver Friday Kajoko were injured, while Obua and former Asante Kotoko player Joseph Ochaya were not hurt.
The other KCCA FC players traveled in a team bus. “The two injured persons are now out of danger and we pray for their quick recovery,” Club Secretary David Tamale told AfricanFootball.com.
KCCA FC who finished third in the 2014/2015 Azam Uganda Premier League are hungry to win the Uganda Cup on Saturday to book a ticket to represent the country in the 2016 CAF Confederations Cup.
