Kano Pillars left back Isaac Loute will miss this weekend's AFCON 2017 qualifier for Benin Republic due to a thigh injury.

The ex-Benin Republic U23 star told AfricanFootball.com he is sad to miss the opportunity as his nation travel to Equatorial Guinea.

"I am very sad that I won't be part of my country's team to play in the AFCON qualifier this weekend. I couldn't make it because I have been injured for over a week now,” he informed AfricanFootball.com

“I have a problem with my thigh and it happened while training with Pillars. I will return to training next week the medics told me."

He has won six caps for Benin.

Kano Pillars goalkeeper Emmanuel Fabiyi and Bayelsa United captain Salomon Junior are with the Benin team for the qualifier which will be played on Saturday.
