Nigerian striker Abiodun Sanumi is close to making a switch to Egyptian club Al Masry after he emerged top scorer in Ethiopian league with 22 goals last season.
His 22-goal tally was just two goals short of the all-time record in the Ethiopian league.
And he is now in Egypt to seal a transfer.
His representative, Tope Alabi, told AfricanFootball.com Sanumi is in Egypt with an agent for a week’s trial.
"Abiodun Sanumi is in Egypt with Al Masry. He is there for a seven-day trial and all things being equal, he will sign a deal, an agent working for the club took him there. Let’s see how it goes," Alabi told AfricanFootball.com
The little known striker scored three goals in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup for top Ethiopian club Dedebit.
