Mali star midfielder Adama Traore has been named the best player of the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup, which ended in Auckland, New Zealand, on Saturday with Serbia upsetting five-time champions Brazil to be crowned world champions.
Lille ace Traore, who will celebrate his 20th
birthday on Sunday, June 28, scored four goals and provided three assists as Mali finished third at New Zealand 2015.
Brazil skipper Danilo was runners-up with Sergej Milinkovic of Serbia the third best player of the tournament.
Mali beat Senegal to win third place
At the 1999 edition of the tournament staged in Nigeria, Seydou Keita of Mali was adjudged the third best player of the competition. He will go on to star for such clubs like Barcelona and Roma.
The Golden Glove and Golden Boot, recognising the leading goalkeeper and top scorer, went to Serbia's Predrag Rajkovic and Viktor Kovalenko of Ukraine respectively.
