Tanzania have sacked Mart Nooij following the country's 3-0 defeat to Uganda in their opening 2016 African Nations Championship (Chan) qualifier over the past weekend.
The former Santos head coach follows Young Chimodzi and Joao Chissano out the exit door. Chimodzi and Chissano were axed by Malawi and Mozambique respectively in the past week.
Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique all suffered defeats in their opening 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Nooij's sacking does not come as a surprise - the Dutch mentor led the Taifa Stars to six consecutive defeats, which included losses to Swaziland, Madagascar and Lesotho, in what was a disastrous 2015 Cosafa Cup for the Tanzanians.

The Tanzanian Football Federation said in a statement that the 61-year-old's successor would be announced in due course.
Nooij previously served as the head coach of Mozambique from 2007-2011.
