M’Bia puts pen to paper with Trabzonspor

Stéphane M’Bia has officially joined Trabzonspor on a three-year deal, the club has confirmed on Saturday.

The Cameroon international landed at the Turkish giants on a free after his contract with Sevilla expired.

The 29-year-old, who had joined ‘Los Rojiblancos’ on loan from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2013 before making the move permanent a year later, scored 7 goals from 42 league appearances for the Spanish outfit with whom he also won two back-to-back Europa League title.

The versatile midfielder started his career at French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais, and enjoyed a three-year successful spell at Olympique Marseille before packing his bags for the Premier League at the end of August 2012.

He has earned more than 60 caps with the Indomitable Lions since making his international senior debut in 2005, competing at the 2008, 2010 and 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup with Cameroon.
