Could Senegal striker Diafra Sakho end up at Manchester United? Recent news reports indicate that a transfer is possible.
West Ham United's Senegal international certainly put his hand up to be counted in the English Premier League last season, scoring 12 goals in 26 appearances last campaign, which included a goal in the 2-1 defeat by United at Old Trafford.
West Ham say Sakho not for sale
The Red Devils' Co-chairman David Gold apparently rates Sakho, saying: "He is the one who can surprise everyone. I believe he can become a world-class striker. "
Sakho has recently been left out the Senegal national team
where there is an abundance of striking talent, many of whom are starring in the EPL. This is because he turned down a chance to play at the 2015 Africa Nations Cup, claiming injury, but then playing soon afterward for The Hammers.
Sakho makes Europa mark
By all accounts it seems that Sakho (25) is more serious about his club career stabilising than earning caps for the Teranga Lions, something which Manchester United would have taken note of.
Sakho was signed by West Ham for just £3.5million last summer but is now valued around £15m. The London outfit have shown an interest in signing Javier Hernandez from United and Mattia Destro from Roma.
