SuperSport United midfielder Dove Wome believes that the Pretoria club will compete for the Absa Premiership title this season.
Matsatsantsa failed to recover from a poor start, to finish the 2014/2015 season in sixth place on the log standings.
Wome, who clinched the club's golden boot award alongside Jeremy Brockie, is hoping for an improved season both personally and for the club, as they eye league glory.
"I can say I never reached my target last season because I was targeting more goals and creating more goals. I never reached my target," said the Togo international.
"I need to work on my finishing, my target was to score more than 10 goals so I need to work on that."
Wome penned a three-year deal with Matsatsantsa following a successful year on-loan at the club and insists his time with Mamelodi Sundowns is now something of the past.
"I'm so happy to have singed a three-year contract with SuperSport, because I know the team. I'm not new here, I know what they want this season, that is why I signed here," Wome continued.
"I have to forget about Sundowns, Sundowns is my past. I've moved on and I have to compete for my place at SuperSport."
The 24-year-old was instrumental as the club claimed the 2014 Telkom Knockout and now hopes for more success in both the cup and league.
"For myself I hope to win a cup like this past season and to compete for the league," Wome added.
"I cannot say that we are going to win the league title, but we are going to compete for the league."
