Aston Villa club captain Gabby Agbonlahor has praised the impact of Benin international Rudy Gestede and has tipped the striker for greatness this season, comparing him to former teammate John Carew.
Gestede, who joined from Blackburn Rovers in the on-going transfer window, made an immediate impact at the club - scoring on debut in a 1-0 win over newly-promoted Bournemouth.
Agbonlahor is hoping to strike up a fruitful partnership with Gestede at the club and insists the forward is his 'dream' strike partner.

“I don’t think there are many defenders that are going to be able to jump with him [Gestede]. He’s that good," Agbonlahor is quoted as saying by the Birmingham Mail.
“He’s probably the best I’ve seen and played with in terms of aerial presence.
“He’s my dream sort of player to play with and I’m looking forward to playing with him more.
“He’s a nice guy off the pitch too. He’s a very humble guy and he works hard so he ticks all the boxes.
“I think the reception from the fans will help him too. He’ll enjoy that.”
Gestede's arrival, though, could see Agbonlahor relegated to the bench, with Jordan Ayew partnering the burly forward in attack.
Adama Traore will also be pushing for a starting role against Crystal Palace.
