Tunisia and Morocco will battle in Radès on Sunday, in the 2016 African Nations Championship’s final Northern Zone qualifier.
The two nations are already guaranteed a spot at the tournament’s finals, which will take place in Rwanda between 16 January and 7 February 2016, following Morocco’s 4-0 thrashing of Libya on Friday night.
While the Atlas Lions are enjoying a three-point lead over their opponents of the day at the top of the group, the Carthage Eagles are assured of a top-two finish regardless of what happens between the two sides at Stade Olympique de Radès.
Moroccans and Tunisians played out a 1-1 draw in their first meeting in Casablanca last June, with Karim Aouadhi breaking the deadlock for the visitors in the 39th minute and Abdelilah Hafidi levelling matters halfway through the second half.
Surprise winners of the previous edition of the continental competition in South Africa in 2013, Libya will not be able to defend their crown in Rwanda.
