Goals from Ceasor Okhuti and Farouq Miya saw Uganda to a 2-0 win over Sudan in a 2016 African Nations Championship, second leg qualifier on Sunday.

The win sees Uganda book their place at the CHAN tournament later this year after winning the match 4-0 on aggregate after goals from Frank Kalanda and Miya in the first leg saw them to a 2-0 victory.

The match on Sunday in Sudan started on a rather slow note and chances on goal were few and far between with both sides making poor decisions in the final third.

The half, though, ended on an exciting note with Uganda taking the lead in the 43rd minute courtesy of a striker from Okhuti before Miya doubled their lead two minutes later.

It was 2-0 at the break to Uganda.

The second half saw Uganda take their foot off the pedal as they controlled the midfield and limited Sudan’s chances on goal to a bare minimum.

No further goals were scored as Sudan crashed out of the CHAN qualifying and Uganda moved onto the tournament proper.
