Benin will be out to tame the Stallions of Burkina Faso when the two teams lock horns in a first-leg 2018 FIFA World Cup second round fixture at Stade de l'Amitié in Cotonou on Thursday.
The Squirrels will travel to Ouagadougou for the reverse fixture on Tuesday.
Burkina Faso will be favourites to progress alongside 19 other African hopefuls to the third round of qualifying, with the five group winners booking a ticket to Russia.
Benin have suffered injury blows to Stade Malherbe Caen duo Emmanuel Imorou and Jordan Adéoti ahead of the encounter, but will be able to count on Aston Villa forward Rudy Gestede.
Frédéric Gounongbé is confident a positive result at home will improve the country's chances of beating the Burkinabe over two legs.
“We have no pressure, we are confident in our qualities, in the team, and we will have the support from the crowd," the Benin strijer told bjfoot.com.
“At home, we are not expecting anything else than a victory, and it is why we are going to play. It will also be very important to keep a clean sheet, and we will see what happens in the return leg."
Burkina Faso will be able to count on Alain Traoré and younger brother Bertrand Traoré, while stalwarts Jonathan Pitroipa and Aristide Bancé will also be available for selection.
Kick-off is at 17h00 (CAT).
