Township Rollers' well-travelled centre forward Jerome Ramatlhakwane has hailed his current side's professionalism.

The strongly-built experienced striker plied his trade in South Africa's top flight league, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for Santos between 2008 and 2011.

“It was a good experience living in Cape Town and playing in the PSL. But I injured my knee early into my Santos career. I was out for about four months, and on that time, other players impressed the coach, making it hard for me to get back into the starting line up. I later managed well and had a good experience playing in the PSL,” Ramatlhakwane told rollersfc.com.

Nicknamed Jay-Jay, the 30-year-old frontman was part of the Botswana team that made history by qualifying for the 2012 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

He was nominated for the 2011 CAF Player of the Year (Based in Africa) award after finishing the 2012 AFCON qualifying campaign amongst the leading top goal scorers with five goals.

"We were a solid team. We were well prepared and had gained international exposure," the former Vasco Da Gama forward added.

Ramatlhakwane, who has had stints in Europe and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), joined Rollers midway through the 2014/15 beMOBILE Premiership campaign.

“I am focused on winning silverware for Rollers. We have a very good coach in Mark Harrison, and the club is well administered," Jay-Jay indicated.

The former Mochudi Centre Chiefs star further stated that Rollers are better ran than half the teams in one of the richest football leagues in Africa, the PSL.

"I spent some time in South Africa, and trust me, Rollers operates much better than maybe half the teams in the PSL. This club is ran professionally now,” he stressed.
