Kermit Erasmus, 25, is eager to disappoint the Etoile du Sahel faithful by lifting the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup with Orlando Pirates at the Stade Olympique de Sousse on Sunday.
The Buccaneers head to Tunisia this week for the second leg of the final following a 1-1 draw in Orlando this past Saturday.
Pirates will need to score in Sousse and know it will be difficult to silence a partisan crowd that is expected to fill the stadium to the rafters.
Moreover, the Soweto giants will have to deal with the real possibility of green lasers beaming down from the stands, a common occurrence in North Africa. Erasmus, though, isn't deterred.
"When you are on the field you are so focused that you don't even take notice of what is happening outside the field, the supporters making a noise or the lasers, yet it might put you off now and then, but if you are fully focused it shouldn't be a problem," said Erasmus
"I am sure once we lift the trophy, it will be quite scary scenes because we are in their backyard and celebrating there...it will be pretty epic, we are looking forward to it - making sure we disappoint their fans and making ours proud."
Erasmus has scored five goals in the CAF Confederation Cup this season, one less than joint top-scorer and teammate Thamsanqa Gabuza
