Flamingoes spank Namibia 4-0 in U17 World Cup clash

Nigeria have recorded a comfortable 4-0 first leg advantage against visiting Namibia in a 2016 U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier in Abuja on Saturday.

Rasheedat Ajibade grabbed a brace with Cynthia Aku and Peace Efih also getting on the scoresheet.

Ajibade opened scoring for the Flamingoes after 13 minutes, before Aku doubled the home team’s lead in the 37th minute.

Efih made it 3-0 from a long-range shot in the 42nd minute and Ajibade completed her brace on 67 minutes..

The return leg match will be played in Namibia in a fortnight with the overall winners advancing to the U17 World Cup in Jordan.
