Akwa United history maker Ubong Ekpai has told AfricanFootball.com that he is delighted to score the only goal in the game against Vita Club Mokanda which earned them victory in their first ever continental game.

The former Kano Pillars forward said he is happy with the history and the victory.
"I am excited and very happy with goal. It was a team success because we worked together to win the game,” Ekpai said.
"It's an honour to score Akwa United's first ever goal on the continent. I dedicated the goal to our goalkeeper Olufemi Kayode whose birthday was same day we played the game."
