Nigeria U20 midfielder Obinna Nwobodo has been picked by Rangers for Sunday’s league opener at Kano Pillars after he was sidelined by a knee injury for 11 months.
The exciting midfielder suffered a major knee ligament damage in the final of the African Youth Championship in March 2015 and was operated on in Qatar subsequently.
He has impressed in pre-season training since his return to full fitness.
Rangers have held on to their top stars like CHAN Eagles stars Etim Matthew and Osas Okoro, who are all listed for the trip to Kano, but there could be debuts for new signings Bright Esieme and Chiamaka Madu.
