Saint George striker Salahdin Said is back in Ethiopia’s squad for their double header with Algeria in Group J of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The former Al Ahly player, who missed the Walya Antelopes’ World Cup qualifier against Congo through injury last November, has been included in a 24-man list ahead of their tie with the ‘Fennecs’.
National coach Yohanes Sahle decided to rely on a majority of locally-based 2016 CHAN campaigners, despite Ethiopia’s first round exit at the continental tournament in Rwanda.
Sahle also named two foreign-based players, with the inclusion of Petrojet midfielder Shemeles Bekele and University of Pretoria striker Getaneh Kebede.
Salahdin Said and his teammates will battle the North African giants in Blida on 25 March, before hosting their opponents in Addis Ababa four days later.
