Niger head coach François Zahoui has announced a 27-man squad to face Senegal in a double header in Group K of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Ivoirian tactician, who led the Elephants to the final of the 2012 edition of the continental showpiece in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, called up a majority of locally-based players, including 12 2016 CHAN campaigners.

Mangasport keeper Daouda Kassaly, former Coton Sport centre-back Mohamed Chikoto and star striker Moussa Maâzou are among the 10 foreign-based players included in the squad, while ZESCO United defender Ben Adama Banh has been handed a maiden call-up.

Lying third of Group K on three points, after falling 2-0 in Burundi following a good start to their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Namibia, the Mena will battle Senegal in Dakar on 26 March before hosting the Teranga Lions in Niamey three days later.
