Plateau United defender Salomon Junior has said Benin Republic hope to beat South Sudan home and away so as to enhance their chances of qualifying for 2017 in Gabon.
The former Bayelsa United captain has been called up for the games, which will be played in South Sudan today and in Benin Republic four days later.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino will watch this match today.
"The games against South Sudan are must-win for us for our dream of making it to the Nations Cup a reality, we are third now while they are second on the table,” said Junior.
"I am optimistic we will get the needed results in both games."
Mali are top of Group C with four points after two matches, while South Sudan have three points.
Benin are on two points after draw and last year’s tournament hosts Equatorial Guinea are bottom of the standings with a point.
Meanwhile, Shooting Stars goalkeeper Emmanuel Fabiyi is missing for the game as he was not called for the double-header.
