Welcome to our coverage of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for Monday, 28 March. There were five matches across the continent today as teams battled for a place in the AFCON in Gabon.

15h00 – Group L, Zimbabwe 4-0 Swaziland - FT
16h00 – Group B, Central African Republic 2-1 Madagascar - FT
18h00 – Group C, Equatorial Guinea 0-1 Mali - FT
18h30 – Group I, Sierra Leone 1-0 Gabon - FT
19h00 – Group F, Libya 4-0 Sao Tome & Principe - FT

20h55 - Full time, Libya 4-0 Sao Tome & Principe. The North Africans claim their first win Group F, but they remain way off the pace of leaders Morocco.

20h35 - Zalbiar completes his hat-trick to make it 4-0 to Libya over Sao Tome and Principe.

20h31 - Another goal for Libya! Osama Abdusalam scores to make it 3-0 to the Mediterranean Knights over Sao Tome & Principe.

20h27 - Full time in Freetown, Sierra Leone have beaten Gabon 1-0. The result, though, doesn't count toward Group I's standings as Gabon are the 2017 AFCOn hosts.

20h15 - Now 2-0 to Libya! The North Africans double their advantage and it's a second goal for Zalbiar.

20h11 - Libya have the lead! The Mediterranean Knights claim a goal early in the second half against Sao Tome in their Group F clash.

20h05 - Underway in the second half between Libya and Sao Tome. In Freetown, Sierra Leone lead Gabon 1-0 with roughly a quarter hour to play.

20h00 - News of full time in Malabo, where Mali beat hosts Equatorial Guinea 1-0. Mustafa Yatabare scored a late goal to see the Eagles to victory and it sees them move to the top of Group C on 10 points.

19h50 - Half time between Libya and Sao Tome & Principe. Still goalless in the Group F clash.

19h35 - Past the half hour mark between Libya and Sao Tome & Principe, it's still goalless in the Group F clash. Also back underway in the second half in Freetown, with Sierra Leone 1-0 up against Gabon.

19h20 - Half time in Freetown, it's Sierra Leone 1-0 Gabon.

19h05 - Underway in Group F, with Libya taking on Sao Tome & Principe.

18h50 - Sierra Leone lead 1-0 against Gabon, with Umaru Bangura scoring a goal inside the first 15 minutes in Freetown. We're also awaiting updates from Malabo, with Equatorial Guinea and Mali's match seemingly delayed until further notice

18h35 - Past the half hour mark in Malabo, still goalless between Equatorial Guinea and Mali in their Group C clash.

18h30 - Underway in Freetown for the Group I match between Sierra Leone and Gabon. Just a friendly this one, with the game not counting towards points in the group, as Gabon are the hosts for 2017.

18h13 - Done and dusted in Bangui, CAR have beaten Madagascar 2-1. The Wild Beasts came from a goal down to claim the three points and move, temporarily at least, into top spot on Group B.

18h04 - Underway in Malabo for the Group C clash between Equatorial Guinea and Mali.

17h55 - Closing in on full time in Bangui, with hosts CAR still leading Madagascar 2-1.

17h38 - CAR have turned it around in Bangui and lead 2-1! The hosts have netted a second goal through Limane Moussa.

17h30 - It's now 1-1 in Bangui! Salif Keita has equalised for Central African Republic, it's 1-1 in their Group B clash with Madagascar!

17h20 - Past the hour mark in Bangui, Madagascar still lead hosts CAR 1-0.

17h05 - Just under an hour to kick-off in the Group C clash between Equatorial Guinea and Mali in Malabo.

16h54 - Full time in Harare, Zimbabwe 4-0 Swaziland. The Warriors move three points clear at the top of Group L and take a major step toward qualifying for the 2017 AFCON. Also half time in Bangui, where it's CAR 0-1 Madagascar.

16h44 - Khama Billiat makes it 4-0 to Zimbabwe! The Warriors are turning on the style at the end of the game.

16h40 - Goal for Madagascar in Bangui! The visitors lead thanks to Faneva Ima Andriatsima's 35th minute strike.

16h36 - And now it's 3-0 to Zimbabwe! Evans Rusike scores to effectively kill off the game and put the Warriors on course for a very valuable three points!

16h25 - Past the midway point of the first half in Bangui, it's CAR 0-0 Madagascar. A win for the hosts would see them leapfrog to the top of Group B.

16h18 - Zimbabwe go 2-0 up! Costa Nhamoinesu arrives at the back post to power home a header from Khama Billiat's free kick!

16h11 - Goal in Harare! Knowledge Musona scores from the penalty spot six minutes into the second half to put Zimbabwe 1-0 up in their Group L clash!

16h00 - Underway in Bangui, with CAR hosting Madagascar in Group B.

15h48 - Half time in Harare, Zimbabwe 0-0 Swaziland. A pretty even contest thus far, we could be in for another draw between these teams after they cancelled each other out in Lobamba on Friday.

15h35 - Past the half hour mark in Harare, it's still Zimbabwe 0-0 Swaziland. Also now 25 minutes from the scheduled kick-off of the Group B match between Central African Republic and Madagascar in Bangui.

15h27 - Swaziland have the ball in the back of the net, but the goal is ruled out for offside! TV replays show that Felix Badenhorst was just offside for the visitors in Harare. It remains 0-0.

15h15 - Still 0-0in Harare. Both the Warriors and Sihlangu are battling to break free at the top of Group L, as they each have five points.

15h05 - The Zimbabwe line-up: Mukuruva, Nhamoinesu, Bhasera, Muroiwa, Zvirekwi, Mudehwe, Katsande, Mahachi, Mushekwi, Nakamba, Musona.

15h00 - We begin with the kick-off of the Group L clash between Zimbabwe and Swaziland from the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
