In the wake of their 3-1 over Burundi in Bujumbura, Namibia national team coach Ricardo Mannetti says they will respect the Burundians.

The Southern African nation is now getting ready to face Burundi in their 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier as they want to boost their chances of reaching Gabon.

Speaking to the Nambian Football Association's official website, Mannetti said the win is special to the Brave Warriors.

“This a special victory for us because we have not won away from home in over three years and we needed this,” said the coach.

“It was all about players responding to instructions from the coach and we played much better second half.

“It was important for us to win over the fans and that worked well for us.

“We go back home and will not underestimate Burundi at all. We are going to treat our fans to some entertaining football, they deserve it.”

The Namibians will host the Burundian side hoping to make it two wins in a row on Tuesday afternoon at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
