The road to Gabon 2017 looks a lot clearer now for Liberia who recorded a 5-0 hammering of Djibouti in their Africa Nations Cup Qualifier Group A match .

Liberia are now top of Group A on 9 points, 2 points clear of Togo and Tunisia who played out a goalless draw in Lome.

Liberia coach James Debbah made four changes to his starting lineup with the fielding of Omega Roberts, Alseny Keita, Verney Hilton and William Jebor.

Anthony Laffor gave the Lone Star the lead after 13 minutes from the penalty spot after Jebor was brought down inside the box.

Sam Johnson put his name on the score sheet with a clinical finish from a beautiful through pass from Theo Weeks on 30 minutes.

And William Jebor scored a second-half hat-trick to seal a 5-0 victory in Monrovia.

Starting lineup for Liberia: Tony Songo - Solomon Grimes, Varney Hilton, Omega, Teah Dennis - Alseny Keita, Theo Weeks, Laffor, Dioh Williams - Williams Jebor, Sam Johnson
