Maritzburg United will be fighting for their Absa Premiership status when they host Black Aces at the Harry Gwala Stadium on 15 April 2016, kick-off at 20h00.

Maritzburg suffered their 13th loss of the league season when they went down 4-2 at home in a crunch game against fellow strugglers University of Pretoria on April 9.

The KwaZulu-Natal side has claimed seven points from 12 home matches this season.

The Team of Choice is placed 16th on the Absa Premiership log with 16 points from 23 matches.

Aces have gone eight matches without a win in the league following their 2-2 draw at home to Kaizer Chiefs on April 12.

The Mpumalanga side has claimed 15 points from 12 away matches this season.

AmaZayoni are placed fifth on the Absa Premiership log with 38 points from 24 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Aces and Maritzburg have met in nine league matches since 2009/10.

Each side has four wins to their name, while just the one match has been drawn.

Maritzburg are unbeaten in home league matches against Aces, with three wins and a draw from four encounters.

When the teams met earlier this season, Aces claimed an emphatic 4-1 home victory.

That match was easily the highest scoring encounter (five goals) between the Team of Choice and AmaZayoni.
