Nigeria fans will have to stay up to watch the country’s Olympic team when they begin their quest for Olympic Gold on August 4 Asia champions Japan.

Fans also had to keep late hours when Nigeria won a historic Olympic Gold 20 years ago in Atlanta.

Nigeria's opening Group B match against Japan will be played at the Amazonia Arena in Manaus and kick off is 9pm local time, which will be 1am in Nigeria as it is four hours ahead of the South American country.

Nigeria’s next group game will be at the same match venue on August 7 against European U21 champions Sweden. It will begin at 6pm local time, which will be 10pm in Nigeria.

The country’s final group game will be against Colombia on August 10 at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo.

Kick-off time will be 7pm in Brazil and 11pm in Nigeria.
