Although Mpumalanga Black Aces scored first, Lamontville Golden Arrows bounced back and netted four goals through Hellings Mhango and they won 4-2 on Wednesday at Mbombela Stadium.

Collins Mbesuma netted his 14th goal in the Absa Premiership when he scored a penalty and Judas Moseamedi made it two, as they remain at number five with 41 points, whilst Arrows are placed at 10th spot with 33 points.

The match began on a low note, but the hosts had an upper hand as they managed to keep pressure on Abafana Bes'thende.

As early as the seventh minute, Absa Premiership top goal scorer Mbesuma opened the scoring when Musa Bilankulu fouled Lehlohonolo Nonyane and the Zambian converted from the spot.

Muhsin Ertugral's men continued to enjoy possession and controlled the proceedings as they probed for their second goal.

In the 31st minute Judas Moseamedi doubled the hosts’ score when he grabbed the second after a beautiful assist from Mbesuma.

However, towards half time goalkeeper Shu-Aib Walters challenged Kudakwashe Mahachi unfairly in the box and gave away a penalty. Substitute Mhango scored from the spot, pulling one back for Arrows.

Three minutes later, the former Bloemfontein Celtic forward netted his second in the match when he beat Walters with a header, ensuring that the Premier Soccer League returnees were level at 2-2 after an assist from Nkanyiso Mngwengwe.

It was 2-2 at half time but the Durban side made their intentions known when they took the game to their hosts and the Malawian Mhango was instrumental in their lead.

Although the match progressed with no threats from the hosts, it was Clinton Larsen's substitute Mhango who scored the third one in the 65th minute after an assist from Mahachi.

With 20 minutes remaining, the Malawian bounced back and netted his fourth after receiving a sweet pass from the Zimbabwean winger Mahachi, and the Flames international made it 4-2.

In the final minutes, the hosts tried to break Arrows' defence to get their two goals but it was not meant to be and Arrows avenged their 2-1 first round defeat.
