University of Pretoria must defeat Golden Arrows at the Tuks Stadium if they are to have any hope of avoiding relegation from the Absa Premiership. Kick-off on 21 May 2016 is set for 15h00.
Tuks have gone five league matches without a win after being held to a 2-2 draw by Polokwane City on May 11.
The Tshwane side has claimed 13 points from 14 home matches this season. They have lost their last three home matches.
AmaTuks are placed 16th on the Absa Premiership log with 22 points from 29 matches. They must win to finish in 15th place (since fellow relegation candidates Jomo Cosmos and Maritzburg United play each other) and enter the playoffs.
Arrows have put together a five-match unbeaten streak in the league after claiming a 1-0 win over Jomo Cosmos on May 11.
The Durban side has claimed 19 points from 14 away matches this season. Their last away loss was against Maritzburg United in March.
Abafana Bes’thende are placed eighth on the Absa Premiership log with 40 points from 29 matches. A win or draw will guarantee a top eight finish (since Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United play each other), but a loss will also be enough if Pirates win.
In head-to-head stats, Arrows and Tuks have met in five top flight league matches since 2012/13.
AmaTuks have claimed three wins compared to two for Abafana Bes’thende, while no matches have ended in draws.
Tuks have recorded one win and one defeat in their two turns as league hosts against Arrows.
When the teams met earlier this season in Durban, Arrows claimed a narrow 1-0 home win.
It was only the second match between the teams in which the home side came out on top.
Tuks’ line-up from their 2-2 draw with Polokwane: Coetsee, Jaure (Ngubane 74’), Mwedihanga, Mthethwa, Sibande, Ntombayithethi, Zwane, Mnyamane (Mfulwane 87’), Maruping, Bacela, Nyondo (Nkoana 69’).
Arrows’ line-up from their 1-0 win over Cosmos: Mbaeva, Mngwengwe, Bilankulu, Dube, Mathiane, Shitolo, Hlongwane (Sibiya 59’), N. Cele, Hotto, Sibeko (Dlamini 85’), Mhango (Fikizolo 76’).
