Rwandan President Paul Kagame has revealed that he was amongst high profile delegates who watched the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League final in Milan, Italy over the weekend.
Kagame, who confirmed that he is an Atletico Madrid supporter, witnessed his team suffer a 5-3 defeat in penalties to their Spanish and city rivals Real Madrid following a 1-1 draw at San Siro Stadium.
According to Allafrica.com Kagame was in attendance alongside Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) President Nzamwita Vincent.
Nevertheless, Kagame, who is also passionate about Rwanda's Amavubi, stated that he enjoyed the game via his official Twitter account.
"I was rooting for Atletico Madrid. Hope next time. Quite unassuming guys and their coach. It was a good game any way," Kagame said.
Real clinched their 11th Champions League title, while Atletico were searching for their maiden title.
