Botswana vice captain Ofentse Nato has stated that they need to maintain their winning run at the Francistown Sports Complex this weekend.

The Zebras will host the Cranes of Uganda in an important 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Francistown on Saturday.

When speaking to local media Nato explained that the mood was very high in their camp ahead of the crucial encounter.

"We are focused and we want to continue our good record here. We want to qualify for Afcon," Nato said.

"That's what we're talking about. The mood is very high and we need Batswana to rally behind us in large numbers."

The Zebras beat Lesotho 2-1 in a friendly match recently, while Cranes were beaten 2-0 by Zimbabwe in another friendly encounter last weekend.

The 2017 AFCON Group D qualifier between Botswana and Uganda will kick-off at 16h00.
