Good evening and welcome to the live coverage of the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier between Gambia and South Africa from the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
Live updates:
That is South Africa's biggest away win since 1992. But, despite the positive result it is too little too late for Bafana Bafana who will not be attending next year's tournament in Gabon.
90+4 - Full-Time: Gambia 0-4 South Africa
80' - BRACE FOR DOLLY! Unbelievable strike by Dolly... off the inside of the post and into the back of the net. 4-0. South Africa in line for their biggest win away from home.
72' - Hlompho Kekana replaced by Dean Furman. Kekana carrying a slight injury.
66' - N'Jie off, Emil Sambou on for Gambia - that is their final chance.
Sainey Sambou came on a few minutes earlier.
64' - South Africa make their second change with
Makola replacing Masango. Tempo has slowed down a tad with South Africa in complete control.
56' - GOAL! Ball sits up beautifully for Dolly who fires home a left-footed rocket, 3-0
50' - Chance at either end in quick succession...
Kekana shoots just wide before Trawally forces Khune into a top save.
46' - Second-half has kicked off. Gambia make an early change, Yaffa on.
45+2' - Half-Time: Gambia 0-2 South Africa
45' - Bafana Bafana all over Gambia with
Vilakazi, Langerman and Gabuza squandering chances to add a third.
39' - BRACE FOR GABUZA Swift break...
Gabuza and Dolly link up - the latter with a precise ball for his teammate who taps in for an easy finish. 2-0
30' - GOAL! Great goal by South Africa...
Dolly to Vilakazi who finds Gabuza...the burly forward with a top finish. Celebration to match.
25' - Vilakazi replaces Serero.
23' - SERERO! Quick counter by Bafana Bafana and
Dolly picks out Serero who's first time shot flies just wide. The Ajax Amsterdam midfielder, though, looks to have injured himself in the process and will be leaving the pitch on a stretcher.
18' - CHANCE! Great movement by
Jali who picks out Gabuza, but instead of playing in the Oostende midfielder for an easy finish the Orlando Pirates forward goes for goal himself...straight at the Gambian goalkeeper who makes an easy save.
15' CHANCE! Chance for Gambia at the back post,
Sambou directs his header towards goal, but
Mathoho clears.
12' - Free-kick for Bafana Bafana, played short to
Jali who curls it in and Gambia clear. Resulting corner-kick comes to nothing.
8' - Just a friendly reminder that both South Africa and Gambia still stand an extremely slim chance of qualifying for next year's showpiece in Gabon. Realistically, though, both the 'Scorpions' and Bafana Bafana will not be at next year's tournament.
3' - England-based duo
Modou Barrow and Mustapha Carayol both missing for Gambia due to injury.
2' - Tebogo Langerman is at left-back for only his fourth cap -
Thabo Matlaba missing due to family reasons. Mamelodi Sundowns teammate
Ramahlwe Mphahlele at right-back for what is his first cap for the national team. Fellow Brazilians
Hlompho Kekana and Keagan Dolly also involved from the onset.
1' - Kick-off
