TP Mazembe's Zambian midfielder Rainford Kalaba

TP Mazembe bagged a 3-1 win in their CAF Confederation Cup match against SC Medeama on Sunday afternoon at the Stade du TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi.
Two goals from Rainford Kalaba and Salif Coulibaly were enough for the Democratic Republic of Congo side to bag a win in their Group A tie.
The win means Mazembe now top the group with three points.
The Ghanaians came with a purpose in the match as Malik Akowuah netted for the Ghanaian Premier League side in the fourth minute.
However, Mazembe put pressure on their visitors and the Zambian international, Kalaba made it 1-1 in the 21st minute,
On the stroke of half time, Coulibaly made it 2-1 ensuring the hosts had an advantage heading into the interval.
On their return, the CAF Champions League holders doubled their lead through the Chipolopolo star, Kalaba, in the 73rd minute.
The Congolese side will now get ready to meet the Tanzanian side, Young Africans in their second match of the group stages on 28 June 2016.
The loss for the Ghanaian side simply means they now have to bag a win in their tie against MO Bejaia on the 29 June to revive their hopes in the CAF Confed Cup.
