Former Botswana Defence Force (BDF) XI head coach Beston Chambeshi has been appointed Zambia national under-20 head coach.
The Zambian coach handed his resignation letter at BDF's headquarters in Mogoditshane, Botswana this month.
Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) have since hired him ahead of the 2017 Africa Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals which will be hosted by Zambia.
"I am happy to be named as under-20 coach, it's a huge task ahead of me and the entire team," Chambeshi said on AllAfrica.com.
"We have to work hard to prepare a strong team ahead of this important under 20 tournament that we shall host."
Chambeshi will reportedly be assisted by Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba while Green Buffaloes coach Bilton Musonda has been retained to the Zambia under-20 technical team.
Chambeshi was in change of BDF during the 2015/16 campaign - guiding the team to the Mascom Top 8 Cup semi-finals.
