Earlier on Friday, Wydad announced on their official website that they have completed the signing of Nigeria international striker Chikatara.
They claimed they have paid the agreed fees for the player and have received his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) to seal his transfer.
But Abia Warriors chairman Inyama told AfricanFootball.com Chikatara is not headed to Morocco after he first announced the deal had been cancelled.
“We have no business with Wydad and no ITC concerning the player has been issued to them,” Inyama informed AfricanFootball.com
"You could double check this with the Nigeria Football Federation.
“Chikatara will play our home game against Plateau United on Sunday and on Monday night he will fly out to join his new club and it is certainly not Wydad Casablanca.”
