Ahead of the new 2016/17 Premier Soccer League campaign, Platinum Stars have announced their new squad members.

African Football.com previously reported that midfielder Letladi Madubanya has left and striker Eleazar Rodgers has joined Bidvest Wits.

However, in a statement released by the club's general manager Senzo Mazingiza, he has confirmed more departures.

Goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul, defender Thabiso Semenya and winger Sibusiso Hadebe have parted ways with the club whilst midfielder Mahlatse Makudubela joins Orlando Pirates.

Furthermore, winger Tlou Segolela, Emmanuel Mathias and Mduduzi Nyanda are also among the players leaving the Phokeng-based side.

Although the coach Cavin Johnson has already confirmed the arrival of ex-Namibia striker Henrico Botes, Mazingiza says they will sign more players.

On the other hand, Dikwena have also captured Namibia forward and former Gaborone United striker Benson Shilongo.

"Botes is back with us from Bidvest Wits. He brings a lot of experience and he knows the culture of the club," Mazingiza tells the club's website.

"A lot of youngsters can benefit from his experience. He can give us something upfront. We have also signed Shilongo from Namibia. We have been monitoring him - he is a good striker.

"He was a top scorer at Gaborone United in Botswana. We have been following him also in COSAFA. He is turning 24. We have also signed a youngster Kunene from Kings United.

"He is a good striker, who was top scorer in the ABC Motsepe League in his region.

"Other than these three we are also looking at adding one or two more players. We hope to finalise that within two weeks."
