According to a Zimbabwean website, former Mamelodi Sundowns and Warriors defender Method Mwanjali has joined Tanzanian side Simba SC.

The News Day website has it that the centre back has left CAPS United and has joined the Tanzanian Premier League side.

Although the website reports that Mwanjali has joined Simba SC, CAPS United confirms his departure saying his new club is now Young Africans.

On the other hand, Tanzanian media reports suggest that Mwanjali has arrived in the country to train with his new Simba teammates together with Justice Majabvi.

CAPS team manager Shakespeare Chinogwenya has indicated that the defender has joined YANGA and not Simba FC.

“Method Mwanjale and Chris Mverechera are no longer with us. Mwanjale has joined Young Africans and Mverechera is now with Ngezi Platinum,” said Chinogwenya,

In the wake of his departure, United's assistant coach Mark Mathe expressed disappointment, but said they had enough replacements to carry the team forward.

Mwanjale joined Caps United in 2015 after he was released by Mamelodi Sundowns in the South African Premier Soccer League, but was only registered to play this year.

Moreover, his return was marred by his arrest on allegations of stabbing a Harare man, Tendai Hunzvi, following an altercation. Hunzvi later withdrew the charges.

It is also announced that the ex-Mpumalanga Black Aces man was expected in Dar-es-Salaam on Friday to join the rest of his teammates to start preseason training.
