Although FIFA has promised huge payouts for footballing governing bodies around the world, the Swaziland National Football Association still has a lot to do in order to receive the money.

The Times of Swaziland website has it that NFAS is not guaranteed the money as the association still has to meet certain benchmarks.

It is reported that FIFA has promised a E78 million grant, but the association has to ensure they include successful Annual General Meetings, audited financial statements as well as women and youth development structures.

NFAS President Senator Adam Mthethwa told the Swazi website when congratulating the Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) for accounting to its affiliates during last Sunday’s AGM.

According to the website, FIFA president Gianni Infantino has promised to splash out E78 million to football associations.

The Swiss-born recently installed FIFA boss had promised to issue US$5 million - at the current exchange rate it translates to E78 million - to each of the world football mother body’s 209 members.

However, for the Swazis to receive the grant, they have to adhere to these benchmarks to get funding which can approximately be in the region of US$50 000 (E700 000) for each benchmark to receive the financial support.

The grants are set to be spread over four years which therefore means the Swazi FA stands to get E19.5 million per year in the next four years.
